Do
I need to pre-register for the FREE Learn to Skate Clinic?
Yes, so that we can ensure that we have enough instructors available to teach
all of our inline skating lessons, we ask that you pre-register. You can
do either online or by voice mail.
If
I do not own my own protective gear, do I have to buy it before coming to
class?
No, if you do not own protective gear, or skates for that matter, we have it
all available for you. Because we believe in your safety, protective gear
is available for you to borrow during your inline skating lesson.
Rollerblade brand inline skates are available for rental for $5.00 per hour
(except during our FREE Learn to Skate Clinic where skate rental is FREE). To ensure that we have your size, please indicate your shoe size
when you pre-register for your lessons.
If
I purchase a Group Lesson Series, can I take lessons at both locations?
Yes, we understand that everyone's schedule gets busy. When
you register for a Group Lesson Series, we give you the flexibility to
participate in lessons at either Ski Chalet in Arlington, VA on Thursday
evenings or at Dick's Sporting Goods in Fairfax, VA on Saturday mornings. Please be
sure to let us know when and where you will be taking your next lesson.
You are even welcome to tell your instructor at the end of class.
If
it looks like it's going to rain, how do I know if my lesson has been
rescheduled?
If the weather doesn't look like it is going to cooperate for our programs, we
will indicate cancellations by changing the message on our voice mail at 703-385-8155 ext.
7. In case of inclement weather lessons
changes, check the message after the following times:
-
8:30 AM on Saturdays for Dick's
Sporting Goods in Fairfax, VA
-
5:30 PM on Thursdays for Ski
Chalet in Arlington, VA
I
am really interested in taking a Group Lesson but my schedule doesn't allow me
to attend on Thursday nights nor Saturday mornings. Can you help?
Absolutely, we can help! You have many options if you are unable to
attend our regularly scheduled Group Lessons at Ski Chalet on Thursday evenings
or Dick's Sporting Goods on Saturday mornings:
-
Schedule a private lesson at a
location and time convenient for you
-
Have Skater's Quest bring our
trailer full of fun to your company for a "Rolling Lunch" or
"After Work Roll"
-
Request a Group Lesson at
another time/place. You never know who else may be interested...
Just let us know that you have a
conflict and we'll do our best to get you on skates as soon as possible!
Do
I have to take Group Lessons in consecutive order?
We understand that your schedule may not
mesh with our Group Lesson Calendar especially during prime summer vacation
time! With that in mind, our Group Lesson Progressions have been developed
to be as flexible as possible and our instructors are highly trained to ensure
that all participants are challenged. While we certainly recommend that
you take the Group Lessons in progression order, it is not required in most
instances. Of course, we don't recommend that you take a Transitions Group
Lesson (AB2) unless you know how to skate backwards (AB1).
What
is the benefit of paying for a Group Lesson Series rather than paying for 1
Group Lesson at a time?
If you know that you would like to take multiple lessons, you
basically receive a free lesson by registering for a Group Lesson Series.
Four lessons purchased 1 at a time will cost you a total of $100 whereas (not
including inline skate rental), if you purchase a Group Lesson Series, you pay
$75. How about that for a bargain?
If
I purchase a Group Lesson Series of 4 lessons, do I have to take them over 4
consecutive weeks?
Nope. Your coupon for 4 Group Lessons will not expire until May 1st of
the following year. While, we recommend that you take your lessons in a
timely manner, we understand that it may be impossible to participate for 4
weeks in a row. We just ask that you keep us in the loop by talking to
your instructor after class or sending us an e-mail.
