Skate In School
Skate in
School is a unique inline skating program for schools developed by
industry leader Rollerblade and the National Association for Sport and
Physical Education (NASPE).
WHAT'S
THE PROBLEM?
-
The
percentage of overweight young Americans has more than doubled in
the past 30 years.
-
Nearly
half of young people, ages 12-21, do not participate in vigorous
physical activity on a regular basis.
-
Physical
inactivity is one of the largest health risk factors in the US,
second only to smoking.
From
"Shape of the Nation" report by NASPE, 1997.
HERE
IS THE SOLUTION - SKATE IN SCHOOL
Innovative "New PE" programs - like Skate in School - are so
much fun that students don't even realize they are increasing
cardiovascular endurance, toning muscles and developing healthy lifetime
fitness skills. Skate in School is ideal for Elementary Schools,
Middle Schools, High Schools, After School Programs, and Park &
Recreation Programs.
This all-inclusive
program includes:
-
Rollerblade
skates and protective gear at a special price.
-
NASPE-approved,
developmentally appropriate lesson plans for all levels.
-
Tips
on equipment maintenance.
-
"Skate
Great" instructional video.
