We are Going Virtual

“Out of adversity comes opportunity.” ~Benjamin Franklin

As we are unable to provide in-person skating lessons nor schedule group training practices, we are going to take this opportunity to meet virtually.

Please join the Skater’s Quest Instructors in the following lessons and programs that we have scheduled and be on the look-out for more lessons being planned for you!

Yoga for Skaters
Mondays at 5:45 PM
We are skaters and love to move. During this crazy time, it’s more important than ever to give yourself permission to pause, stretch and focus on your breathing and body awareness. We are so excited that the Director of the Inline Certification Program (ICP), Kris Fondran, M.Ed. will be joining the Skater’s Quest Team to lead these lessons. The goals of the Yoga for Skaters lessons are:

1. To help you improve your flexibility,
2. Potentially decrease injury by preparing your muscles for work,
3. Increase blood and nutrient supply to your muscles and
4. Calm your mind.

This session will end with a short breathing practice that will focus on various techniques that will expand the breath capacity enabling better oxygenation before, during and after you skate.

Plyometrics for Skaters
Wednesdays at 5:45 PM
Plyometrics is a type of exercise designed to build muscular power. In the Plyometrics for Skaters lessons we will focus on building strength and power while mimicking the muscular activity of skating. Low intensity variations are always presented so these classes are for all levels.
